Balancing instruction in business theories with practical, hands-on experiences, WPU’s BS in Business Administration program with an emphasis in Leadership and Management covers key business topics in areas such as economics, employment law, and ethics, as well as core leadership and management concepts in fields that include managerial accounting, global business, and strategic management.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Leadership and Management, Curriculum

The BS in Business Administration, Leadership and Management, curriculum includes six prerequisite course credits, 30 major course credits, and 18 emphasis course credits. Of the 54 total required credits, 22 credits must be completed in residence at WPU, and 28 credits must be in upper-division courses. 

In order to earn a BS in Business Administration, Leadership and Management, at WPU, you need to do the following:

  • Complete all major course requirements and general education core course requirements with grades of at least C- in each course.
  • Complete a total of 120 credits, including at least 40 upper-division credits (300-level and 400-level courses).
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0.

Offered through WPU’s Professional and Graduate Studies (PGS) division, the Associate of Arts in Organizational Dynamics program considers the unique needs of today’s adult learners, many of whom are balancing work and family responsibilities.

Featuring a flexible rolling enrollment model, WPU allows students to start their degree path on their own timeline. Students take one five-week course at a time, completing all coursework in a 100% online, asynchronous learning format.

What does the accelerated online degree format entail?

Available through WPU’s Professional and Graduate Studies (PGS) division, the Associate of Arts in Organizational Dynamics, Christian Entrepreneurship, program is offered in a flexible online format that is ideal for today’s adult learners, who often have to balance work and life responsibilities.

With its rolling monthly enrollment model, WPU allows students to start earning their degree on their own timeline. The 100% online coursework for the AA in Organizational Dynamics major is delivered in an asynchronous format, with one accelerated course every five weeks. The two 10-week Christian Entrepreneurship emphasis courses are offered 100% online with weekly synchronous Zoom classes.

Offered through WPU’s Professional and Graduate Studies (PGS) division, the accelerated MBA degree program has been created to accommodate the unique needs of today’s adult learners, many of whom are balancing work and family responsibilities. 

Students in the program may choose to participate in a 100% online, asynchronous learning experience or select a hybrid flexible (HyFlex) learning model, which includes one synchronous class per course. All MBA courses are scheduled in six-week blocks for accelerated completion. 

Regardless of the format:

• Expert faculty members bring their professional experiences into the classroom, enhancing the curriculum with real-world examples.

• Rolling monthly start dates let you begin working toward your MBA as soon as possible, rather than wait a full semester.

• Courses use WPU’s Learning Communities cohort model, which is ideal for building connections with your fellow students and professors.

Online Experience

Asynchronous lectures are scheduled weekly, and students then complete all assignments and readings within this time frame.

Participation is key to the online format of the MBA degree program. After registering for a course, the typical online student logs in on average five out of seven days per week to access materials and must contribute at least three substantial posts to class forums over two days per week.

HyFlex Experience

Most of the coursework for the HyFlex format of the MBA program is completed asynchronously, but the first class meeting is conducted in a synchronous format. Students may choose to attend the synchronous class remotely or in person at our main and local campuses in Portland. 

Some students may choose to participate in WPU’s 4+1 MBA program, which is also offered in multiple formats.

Asynchronous lectures are scheduled weekly, and students then complete all assignments and readings within this time frame.

Participation is key to the online format of the MBA degree program. After registering for a course, the typical online student logs in on average five out of seven days per week to access materials and must contribute at least three substantial posts to class forums over two days per week.

HyFlex Experience

Most of the coursework for the HyFlex format of the MBA program is completed asynchronously, but the first class meeting is conducted in a synchronous format. Students may choose to attend the synchronous class remotely or in person at our main and local campuses in Portland. 

Some students may choose to participate in WPU’s 4+1 MBA program, which is also offered in multiple formats.

What are the admissions requirements for the BS in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration?

If you’re ready to apply to the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program, please review WPU’s admissions requirements.

For traditional undergraduate students, requirements include:

• A completed application for admission

• Official transcripts from all schools attended 

• A minimum 2.5 high school GPA

For transfer students, requirements include:

• A completed application for admission

• Official transcripts from all schools attended (high school transcripts are not required for students who have earned 12 or more credits since graduation)

• A minimum 2.0 transfer GPA

Applicants who do not meet the minimum academic standards are still encouraged to apply, and may be required to submit additional materials for review by the Admissions Review Committee. Some applicants may be asked to submit writing samples or personal references, or to participate in an admissions interview. 

Applications are accepted throughout the year, with a fall early application deadline of December 1; a priority application deadline of February 1; and a transfer application deadline of March 1. Learn more about our start dates and admissions requirements in our course catalog.

Is the BS in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, accredited?

Warner Pacific University is accredited by The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). WPU is also an educational member of the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE), located at 11960 Quivira Rd. in Overland Park, Kansas. Educational members have not yet undergone accreditation reviews and do not have business programs that are accredited by the IACBE.

What are 4+1 MBA programs?

An accelerated Master of Business Administration 4+1 program is designed to help students who earn an undergraduate business degree earn an MBA more quickly than they would in a traditional MBA program. Students in the MBA 4+1 program at WPU Online can choose between a fully online or hybrid format to complete the high-quality master’s program that will allow them to develop the business acumen and leadership skills they need to advance in the business world.
