Undergraduate Business Administration Degrees Overview

Whether you’re ready to pursue a bachelor’s degree, an associate degree, or a minor in business administration, Warner Pacific University has a degree plan to help you succeed and realize your leadership potential in business. Each student in our undergraduate business programs works one-on-one with an academic advisor to build their own personalized program of study — taking any applicable transfer credit into account so they can reach their goals faster.

WPU’s in-person Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Associate of Science in Business Administration programs help students develop the skills they need to establish successful careers in a wide range of industries. Students in the bachelor’s in business administration program have the option to choose an emphasis in healthcare administration, human resource management, entrepreneurship, or leadership/management. WPU also offers an online Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration program.

Skill and Learning Outcomes for the Business Administration Degree Programs

Business administration courses at WPU balance theoretical instruction with practical, hands-on experience to provide students with skills they can bring directly to the workplace. Upon successful completion of the core business administration coursework, graduates will be able to demonstrate:

  • Proficiency in the key concepts and methods of inquiry associated with business
  • Proficiency in the use of quantitative tools used to make good business decisions
  • Critical thinking through evidence-based arguments associated with the various areas of business practice
  • An ability to produce work that integrates concepts and methods associated with the disciplines of business

What Can You Do With a Business Administration Degree?

WPU business administration graduates have gone on to careers in business administration, business communications, customer relations, marketing, operations, and supply chain logistics, among other areas, as well as various graduate programs. Overall employment in business and financial occupations is projected to grow 5% from 2024 to 2034, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), faster than the average for all occupations.

The median annual salary for individuals with a business degree is about $75,000, per the BLS. Undergraduate Business Administration Curricula 

WPU offers two traditional undergraduate degree programs in business administration: a bachelor’s degree program and an associate degree program. Coursework for both programs covers core concepts and competencies needed by future business leaders.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (48 Credits)

Program Requirements: 48 credits: 16 credits in residence, 22 credits total upper division

In order to earn a baccalaureate degree at WPU, you need to meet the following criteria:

  • All major requirements and general education core requirements with grades of at least C- in each course
  • A total of 120 semester credits, including at least 40 upper-division credits (300-level and 400-level courses)
  • A cumulative GPA of at least 2.0

Bachelor’s Degree Emphasis Options (54 Credits)

Students in the bachelor’s degree in business administration program also have the option to choose one of four concentrations. Program requirements for the concentrations include six prerequisite credits, 30 major credits, and 18 concentration credits (54 total credits):

To complete the associate degree in business administration, students must complete a total of 60 credits and all core requirements. This major includes two courses that will also apply to the A.S. core requirements: EC 203 (Critical Thinking) and BUS 223 (Information Technology).

Minor in Business Administration (24 Credits)

Prerequisites: EC 203, MA 111 or 242 required.

24 credits: 15 credits in residence, 12 credits upper division.

Warner Pacific University is accredited by The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). Warner Pacific University is an educational member of the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) located at 11960 Quivira Rd. in Overland Park, Kansas. Educational members have not yet undergone accreditation reviews and do not have business programs that are accredited by the IACBE.
