The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration program with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship at Warner Pacific University (WPU) balances theoretical instruction with practical, hands-on experiences as it helps you prepare to become a successful entrepreneur with the potential to build a business that provides economic and social benefit to your community.

Minors in Entrepreneurship and Social Entrepreneurship are also available for students pursuing other bachelor’s degrees at WPU. Additionally, the BS in Business Administration is available with emphasis areas in Healthcare Administration, Human Resource Management, and Leadership/Management, and WPU offers an online Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business Administration program as well.

Skill and Learning Outcomes for the BS in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Program

WPU’s BS in Business Administration program with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship teaches key business topics in areas such as accounting, employment law, and economics, as well as core concepts in entrepreneurship, including strategic management, community engagement, and public policy. 

Upon successful completion of the BS in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, program, graduates will be able to demonstrate:

  • Effective leadership and team-oriented capabilities
  • Proficiency in the basic concepts, theories, models, and vocabulary associated with entrepreneurship

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Curriculum

The BS in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, curriculum includes six prerequisite course credits, 30 major course credits, and 18 emphasis course credits. Of the 54 total required credits, 22 credits must be completed in residence at WPU, and 28 credits must be in upper-division courses. 

In order to earn a BS in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, at WPU, you need to do the following:

  • Complete all major course requirements and general education core course requirements with grades of at least C- in each course.
  • Complete a total of 120 semester credits, including at least 40 upper-division credits (300-level and 400-level courses).
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0.

Applicants who do not meet the minimum academic standards are still encouraged to apply, and may be required to submit additional materials for review by the Admissions Review Committee. Some applicants may be asked to submit writing samples or personal references, or to participate in an admissions interview.

Is the BS in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, accredited?

Warner Pacific University is accredited by The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). WPU is also an educational member of the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE), located at 11960 Quivira Rd. in Overland Park, Kansas. Educational members have not yet undergone accreditation reviews and do not have business programs that are accredited by the IACBE.
