Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Leadership and Management, Curriculum

The BS in Business Administration, Leadership and Management, curriculum includes six prerequisite course credits, 30 major course credits, and 18 emphasis course credits. Of the 54 total required credits, 22 credits must be completed in residence at WPU, and 28 credits must be in upper-division courses. 

In order to earn a BS in Business Administration, Leadership and Management, at WPU, you need to do the following:

  • Complete all major course requirements and general education core course requirements with grades of at least C- in each course.
  • Complete a total of 120 credits, including at least 40 upper-division credits (300-level and 400-level courses).
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0.

What does the 4+1 MBA program format entail?

The 4+1 MBA program at WPU Online enables students who earn a BS or BA degree at Warner Pacific University with a major in business administration, accounting, or healthcare administration to apply for advanced placement in the MBA program. 

Students must apply and be accepted into the MBA program within one year of graduating from their approved undergraduate program to qualify. Students will be required to maintain an overall 3.0 GPA and submit a proficiency essay as part of their graduate school application, demonstrating their knowledge in the five core areas eligible for advanced placement credits: leadership, accounting, marketing, economics, and global business.

If the student passes the proficiency essay assessment, advanced placement credits can be earned for BUS 501A, BUS 603A, BUS 606A, BUS 607A, and BUS 610A. No partial proficiency credit is available.

In the 4+1 MBA program, students who have earned credits for the above courses complete nine (six-week-long) courses, attending class in a 100% online, asynchronous format or in a hybrid flexible (HyFlex) format, which includes one synchronous class per course.

• Have completed college-level coursework in business math or algebra

What is a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration?

A bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration program enables students to develop a broad foundational knowledge of business and healthcare management principles along with leadership skills, preparing them for administrator roles in healthcare organizations.

What does the BS in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, format entail?

Core business courses in the Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration program are taught in person at Warner Pacific University, while healthcare management courses are offered through the Professional and Graduate Studies (PGS) division and are delivered online in an accelerated, five-week format.

What does the accelerated online degree format entail?

Offered through WPU’s Professional and Graduate Studies (PGS) division, the BA in Business Administration program considers the unique needs of today’s adult learners, many of whom are balancing work and family responsibilities.

With rolling monthly start dates throughout the year, students in the bachelor’s degree in business administration program may choose to participate in a 100% online, asynchronous learning experience or select a hybrid flexible (HyFlex) learning model, which includes one synchronous class per course that can be attended in person or remotely. Both options allow students to take one five-week course at a time.

In addition to the Human Resource Management emphasis, WPU’s BA in Business Administration program has a Healthcare Management emphasis option available in the online and hybrid formats. WPU also offers an on-campus traditional Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration program with several emphasis options.
