Scholarship Competition

Scholarship competition awards require a separate application, interview, and attendance at WPC Scholarship Days on February TBA. Applicants must be admitted and submit scholarship application by February 2, 2017. Open to new, incoming admitted students (freshmen or transfer).

Award Guidelines

Music Award


For students involved in Music. Must participate in Music performance. Must audition each year. Frequently asked questions about the Music Award.
Theatre Award


For students involved in Drama. Must participate in Theatre productions. Must audition each year.
City Builder Leadership Award


For students who are leaders in their school and community.  Students who receive this scholarship are required to attend weekly leadership training seminars throughout the summer leading up to the start of their first year at Warner Pacific College.  Students are provided a mentor/coach to work with them to prepare for their transition to the college environment and to ready them for being leaders in the classroom and in community activities from the first day of school.  Since participation in the weekly training is required, awards are limited to students living in the Portland metro area (within an easily commutable distance of campus).
Lee Leadership Award

$1,000 each year

For students active in leadership positions; must participate in WPC Leadership Program. Minimum GPA: 2.75
Dr. John Garlington Award

$2,500 each year

For students making significant contributions to diversity in their school or community. Minimum GPA: 2.0

In 2015, 55 incoming freshmen and transfer students competed in our February 7 Scholarship Day. We awarded 20 City Builders scholarships, 18 Lee Leadership scholarships, 5 Dr. John Garlington scholarships, and $50,000 in music and drama scholarships.

All students are strongly encouraged to file the FAFSA as soon after January 1 as possible. The Warner Pacific College code to enter on FAFSA is 003225. This will allow us to review individual financial information and determine eligibility for federal, state, and other institutional aid opportunities.
