The BS in Business Administration, Leadership and Management, curriculum includes six prerequisite course credits, 30 major course credits, and 18 emphasis course credits. Of the 54 total required credits, 22 credits must be completed in residence at WPU, and 28 credits must be in upper-division courses. 

In order to earn a BS in Business Administration, Leadership and Management, at WPU, you need to do the following:

A bachelor’s degree in human resource management program enables students to develop a broad foundational knowledge of business and human resource principles along with leadership skills, preparing them for HR specialist and management roles in the business world.

What does the accelerated MAT format entail?

Offered through WPU’s Professional and Graduate Studies (PGS) division, the MAT degree program considers the unique needs of today’s adult learners, many of whom are balancing work and family responsibilities. Focused on preparing students to pursue their Oregon Preliminary Teaching License, the MAT program is offered in an accelerated format with flexible online and in-person coursework options.

In WPU’s standard accelerated MAT format, coursework is delivered via synchronous class meetings with students taking one class at a time, one evening per week. Students attend classes either online or in person, and courses are between two and seven weeks in length. Students select a specialty focus area — Early Childhood/Elementary or Middle/High School — and complete a 15-week student teaching experience.

In the accelerated summer immersion format, students take a full-time course load of one- to three-week classes, mornings and afternoons, from May to August. Students attend these synchronous class meetings in an online environment, focusing on the Middle/High School endorsement area. This is followed by a 15-week clinical experience of student teaching in the fall semester, with the program finishing in December.

What does the accelerated online MEd program format entail?

WPU’s online master’s degree program in education is designed for working teachers, with one accelerated course every six weeks, allowing students to earn their degree in as few as 18 months. 

Students in the Professional and Graduate Studies (PGS) programs complete one course at a time, and all online MEd courses use an asynchronous format to accommodate working professionals across the state.

The program’s learning cohort model allows students to benefit from greater interaction with their instructors and encourages students to connect with their peers in the classroom.

What are the admissions requirements for the BS in Business Administration, Leadership and Management?

If you’re ready to apply to the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program, please review WPU’s admissions requirements.

For traditional undergraduate students, requirements include:

• A completed application for admission

• Official transcripts from all schools attended 

• A minimum 2.5 high school GPA

For transfer students, requirements include:

• A completed application for admission

• Official transcripts from all schools attended (high school transcripts are not required for students who have earned 12 or more credits since graduation)

• A minimum 2.0 transfer GPA

Applicants who do not meet the minimum academic standards are still encouraged to apply, and may be required to submit additional materials for review by the Admissions Review Committee. Some applicants may be asked to submit writing samples or personal references, or to participate in an admissions interview. 

Applications are accepted throughout the year, with a fall early application deadline of December 1, a priority application deadline of February 1, and a transfer application deadline of March 1. Learn more about our start dates and admissions requirements in our course catalog.
