Social Work Advisory Committee

The Advisory Committee is composed of key stakeholders in the community, including field instructors, alumni, and community partners. The purpose of the Advisory Committee is to provide community context to the Social Work Program and to advise on matters pertaining to curriculum enhancement, field education, and the overall welfare of the Program, related to its mission and goals.

The Advisory Committee serves as a professional resource to the students and faculty of the Social Work Program. The Advisory Committee assists in the maintenance of high standards for the Program through involvement in curriculum overview, student practicum, placement opportunities, training and development needs, and community networking. The Advisory Committee is an excellent source of information and a particularly vital contact with the local professional community as well as needs and trends in social work practice.
