What You Can Learn
The Associate of Arts in General Studies consists of 21 courses and may be completed in two years. Each course lasts five weeks. There are 42 credits of required core course work and an additional 21 elective credits that may be transferred or earned in team dynamics, writing, business, human resources, and more. Courses within the major include:
- Microsoft Office
- Foundations of Psychology
- American Government
- Introduction to Literature
- Environmental Studies
- Health & Fitness for Adults
You can earn your A.A. in General Studies online or on campus. You will advance through each course one at a time in five-week blocks, working with the same group of 14-22 classmates throughout the program. Campus classes meet one evening a week, while online classes receive weekly assignments to complete in their own time.
