Amelia Pullen of Warner Pacific University has been named the NAIA National Runner of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. Pullen was selected based on her performance from Sept. 16 – 22 and was chosen out of a pool of conference and Association of Independent Institution winners.

I mean, this week has been exciting, but I’m not really into all of the recognition, I just love running“, Pullen said when asked how she’s felt after this week.

Pullen is the first Female Athlete from WPU to win NAIA Player of the Week, and the first Knight to do so since Joshua Crager, who was recognized for Men’s Wrestling in 2015.

The Knights Women’s Cross-Country will be back in action on October 5th in Salem.
