President

Dr. Christina Schnyders is the ninth President of Warner Pacific University. She assumed the presidency on August 1, 2026, bringing more than two decades of experience in Christian higher education, counseling, and academic leadership.

Prior to joining Warner Pacific, Dr. Schnyders served as Provost at Malone University, where she was the institution’s first female provost. A licensed professional clinical counselor and professor of counseling and human development, she began her career in Christian higher education as the worship ministries coordinator at Simpson University before earning a master’s degree in Clinical and Pastoral Counseling from Ashland University.

Dr. Schnyders earned a Ph.D. in Counseling and Human Development Services from Kent State University, where she also helped launch a graduate counseling program.

During her 19 years at Malone University, she served in numerous leadership and faculty roles, including Resident Director, Career Counselor, Tenured Professor, Director of the Graduate Counseling Program, Faculty Chair, and Provost.

In 2020, the Ohio Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (OACES) recognized Dr. Schnyders as the Ohio Counselor Educator of the Year.
