Dr. Christina M. Schnyders
President starting in 2026
Dr. Christina Schnyders became the ninth president of Warner Pacific University in 2026. Previously, she was the first female to serve as provost at Malone University. Dr. Schnyders is a licensed professional clinical counselor and a professor of counseling and human development. She began her career in higher education as the worship ministries coordinator at Simpson University before obtaining a master’s degree in Clinical and Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. Later, Dr. Schnyders earned a Ph.D. in Counseling and Human Development Services from Kent State University where she also helped launch a graduate program in counseling. She served at Malone University for 19 years in the positions of Resident Director, Career Counselor, Tenured Professor, Director of the Graduate Counseling program, Faculty Chair, and Provost. In 2020, the Ohio Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (OACES) named Dr. Schnyders as the Ohio Counselor Educator of the Year.
