Pharmacists are health care professionals with skilled understanding of drug therapy, uses and interactions. Pharmacists ensure patients receive the maximum benefit from medications with the least side effects.  The Warner Pacific Pre-Pharmacy track allows for students to complete their prerequisite coursework, earn a baccalaureate degree, and obtain assistance with the pharmacy school preparation, selection, and application process.

Students who enter this track are seeking to become pharmacists. Pharmacists are health care professionals licensed to prescribe medications and are highly educated about drug actions and interactions. Given the emphasis on biomedical sciences, this track is ideal for students who are Biological Sciences: Human Biology Emphasis majors.

Students must complete a bachelor’s degree including a specific set of prerequisite courses, before matriculating to a professional school to earn their Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Students on this track select to complete their bachelor’s degree prior to matriculation, which is required. The requirements in this pre-professional track meet prerequisite requirements of local pharmacy programs including Pacific University and Oregon State University in Oregon. Students are responsible for researching requirements at the schools in which they are interested and adding any necessary extra coursework.
