Warner Pacific University is pleased to announce the appointment of two key leaders to its Advancement team: Joshua Carothers, Director of Advancement, and Natasha Mayestha, Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement. Their arrival marks a significant step forward in advancing the University’s comprehensive campaign for resources and reputation under the banner With Purpose.

With a Christ-centered mission focused on serving students from diverse backgrounds, Warner Pacific continues to expand its reach and deepen its impact. These new leaders bring the passion, experience, and strategic insight needed to further grow philanthropic partnerships and cultivate a vibrant culture of generosity.

Joshua Carothers – Director of Advancement

Joshua brings more than a decade of experience in nonprofit leadership, donor relations, and strategic fundraising. He has built a strong reputation for forming mission-aligned partnerships and securing resources to fuel transformative impact.

Before moving to Montana to serve with Youth With A Mission in Christian higher education and overseas missions, Joshua served as Associate Youth Pastor at Church of God in Vancouver (now Vancouver Church). It was his first role in a church setting and proved to be a deeply formative experience, shaped by meaningful mentoring that helped solidify his sense of calling and purpose.

At Warner Pacific, Joshua will lead the development and execution of comprehensive fundraising strategies, with a particular focus on major gifts and campaign leadership. His expertise in faith-based philanthropy will be instrumental in aligning donor partnerships with the university’s vision for student transformation.

Natasha Mayestha – Director of Annual Giving & Alumni Engagement

Natasha brings more than 10 years of advancement experience, with a strong background in donor stewardship, fundraising campaigns, and alumni relations. Most recently, she served at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI), where she led donor relations and managed major events. Natasha has also led international philanthropic initiatives and partnerships, bringing a global perspective and thoughtful strategy to her work.

At Warner Pacific, she will oversee annual giving campaigns, deepen alumni engagement, and steward donor communications — strengthening connections across the WPU community.

Advancing the Mission

“Joshua and Natasha bring deep expertise and a heart for mission,” said Interim President Douglas S. Wade. “Their leadership will play a vital role in supporting our students and ensuring that Warner Pacific continues to thrive as a place of transformation, purpose, and faith.”
