Bio
Jared Maddox is the Senior Associate Registrar at Warner Pacific University. His responsibilities include advising PGS business students, overseeing the Records Office and Academic Advising Staff, and supporting the work of the Registrar. Before January 2024, when Jared was hired by Warner Pacific as a Professional Advisor, he served as a head pastor, transcriber, editor, and adjunct professor. He still teaches courses on Methodist history, doctrine, and policy for the Western Jurisdiction of The United Methodist Church.
Jared received his BA in Philosophy from Seattle Pacific University, his M.Div. from Duke Divinity School, and his Ph.D. in Religious Studies from Southern Methodist University. His doctoral studies focused on church history, with an emphasis on American Methodist history. Jared wrote his dissertation on Nathan Bangs, an early nineteenth century American Methodist, which was later published as a biography. He currently lives in Vancouver, Washington with his wife and two children.
