Biography
Dr. Amber Gribbins has taught extensively in accounting, guiding students to connect technical knowledge with the practical realities of finance, management, and organizational decision-making. As Accounting Department Lead, she emphasizes how numbers inform strategy, risk, and outcomes, while also overseeing accreditation logistics to ensure the School of Business maintains strong academic alignment and program quality.

In addition to her accounting expertise, Dr. Gribbins has also taught HUM 310, encouraging students to explore identity, agency, and legacy through film, art, and biography. Beyond the classroom, she is deeply engaged in analytics and predictive modeling, applying advanced frameworks to business, education, and sports predictive markets. Her interdisciplinary approach reflects her belief that data is most powerful when it illuminates patterns, sharpens anticipation, and informs better decisions.

Dr. Gribbins is a 2021 graduate of the Real World Risk Institute, where she studied under Nassim Nicholas Taleb, focusing on decision-making under uncertainty and real-world applications of risk analysis.

Amber Gribbins serves as Associate Dean of Professional and Graduate Studies at Warner Pacific University, where she leads program innovation, accreditation processes, and faculty development. Her expertise spans accounting, finance, and quantitative methods, with a particular focus on integrating cost accounting, decision modeling, and advanced analytics into applied business education. She also has deep experience in curriculum design, experiential pedagogy, and interdisciplinary approaches that connect students’ learning to real-world contexts.

Her research interests include applied quantitative modeling, sports analytics, and the study of artificial intelligence as a set of processes to be understood rather than just tools to be applied. By examining how AI frameworks function, she seeks to inform their effective and ethical use in education and leadership. Across her work, Amber is committed to mentoring students and faculty, fostering connections between rigorous academic inquiry, professional practice, and the search for meaning.
