Biography
Fernanda Fortuna is an Emergency and Trauma Registered Nurse with more than seven years of experience providing care for critically ill and injured patients in a Level I Trauma Center. Her clinical background spans rapid assessment, high-acuity interventions, and interdisciplinary collaboration to improve patient outcomes in complex emergency settings. She brings a strong foundation in evidence-based practice and a commitment to advancing quality of care, patient safety, and clinical excellence within academic and clinical nursing practice.

She currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Nursing, where she teaches across the nursing curriculum, including foundational courses such as pathophysiology, pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, and population health. In addition to her academic leadership, she is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing, with the goal of integrating advanced practice expertise with her passion for nursing education and lifelong learning.
