Biography
Nancy Drummond holds a Bachelor degree in General Studies with concentrations in English, Education, and Music, as well as a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership. She is also the author of four published biographies for young readers, and she has written for a number of websites, magazines, and organizations. She is an impossibly idealistic optimist who loves music and writing and art and reading and the beach and absolutely everything chocolate. She spends her free time sharing special moments with family and friends, drinking too much coffee, writing and reading, snuggling her puppy, and taking long walks. She lives to bring light and joy and hope to the people around her and strives to make every student feel seen, heard, and valued as they journey toward success.

Every job Nancy Drummond has had since high school has been in education. She has worked as a teaching assistant at an elementary school, a corporate trainer, a career school instructor, a student services specialist, a financial aid counselor, a tutor, and a professor. After almost three decades in the field, she still loves every single day, and she believes with her whole heart that she learns as much from her students as they learn from her. As the Associate Registrar and Director of Student Academic Planning, she advises students, helps with degree planning, and teaches academic support classes. She always has a hug, a snack, and an encouraging word to motivate students to keep moving forward.
