Changing Lives Through Nursing Education
“For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,” says the Lord. Jeremiah 30:17
Warner Pacific introduced a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2019. The program initially operated off campus in rented office space near I-205 and Division Street. The first cohort totaled 16 students, and all but one successfully earned their BSN.
Cohort sizes have doubled, making nursing our fastest-growing degree program. Nursing is also permanently back on campus as the 2024-25 academic year began with brand new classrooms and nursing simulation labs in lower McGuire.
WPU is meeting a critical need in addressing a national nursing shortage with highly qualified and diverse graduates. Major hospitals and health systems have quickly recognized the quality of our graduates for not only their technical excellence but also compassion derived from their Christ-centered education. Nearly 90% of our nursing graduates have passed the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).

Funding Priorities for Nursing
The first years of the nursing program’s success are a blessing both for Warner Pacific’s future and for the lives of our students. Most are the first generation in their family to attend college. Nursing empowers them with a professional career in healthcare and greater social and economic mobility over their lifetime.
Philanthropic support is needed to continue building a tradition of nursing excellence at WPU. With outstanding facilities now in place, our focus turns to strengthening resources for scholarships, equipment and instructional materials, and faculty funding to attract and retain great nursing professors. Donors interested in supporting nursing can be recognized for their investment through the naming of one of these new spaces. Your gift can be designated for any of the priority areas identified here or left unrestricted to be used for nursing’s greatest needs.
Our BSN program is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Clinical affiliations are also in place with nearly 50 partners including major health systems, public health services, nonprofit organizations, and specialty providers in pediatrics, rehabilitation, elder care, and more. These partners provide vital real-world experience to our students as they pursue their nursing degree.
