Warner Pacific University celebrates a historic milestone as the Men’s Soccer team advances to the NAIA National Championship Quarterfinals following a dramatic Round of 16 victory Monday night in Orange Beach, Alabama.

Competing in heavy rain, the Knights demonstrated exceptional poise, discipline, and resilience throughout the match. National commentators took notice, describing Warner Pacific as a “true Cinderella story” in this year’s tournament and highlighting the team’s confidence under pressure. The win positions the Knights among the top programs in the nation as they continue their remarkable postseason run.

Academic Commitment Amid Championship Pressure

The team’s success reflects more than athletic ability. Prior to the match, players participated in structured study hall sessions to stay on track during finals week, maintaining strong academic discipline even while competing on the national stage. Student-athletes have been managing assignments, communicating with faculty, and preparing for exams throughout the tournament—demonstrating the full meaning of being student-athletes.

A Team Rooted in Community

Warner Pacific’s roster is composed largely of students from within a 20-mile radius of Portland. Their advancement in a national tournament highlights both the depth of local talent and the University’s commitment to developing students who excel academically, athletically, and personally. Competing against larger, nationally recruited programs, the Knights continue to demonstrate determination, teamwork, and the ability to rise to significant challenges.
