Field Education is the signature pedagogy of the social work program. Field practicum I and II is a year-long, 450-hour internship (225 per semester) where you, under professional supervision, apply learning to a social service setting in order to be fully prepared for beginning level generalist social work practice. The BSW Field Director works collaboratively with you to ensure a fourth year field placement. Planning for field begins in the spring of your third year. We strive to place you in internships that reflect your career aspirations and interests. Previous field placement locations have included:
