For many students, the first step in financing college is completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA.  To help get you started, we have provided the instructions below.

As you complete your FAFSA, we hope you will stay in touch! Our Office of Student Financial Services is always available to answer any questions that may arise so don’t hesitate to give them at call at 503.517.1091.

    1. Go to fsaid.ed.gov and create your own FSA ID and password.
      • If you have previously requested a FSA ID you can skip this step.
      • If you don’t remember your FSA ID, you can have it emailed to you.
    2. Go to fafsa.ed.gov and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
      • You will reference tax documents from two years prior (i.e. for the 2018-2019 FAFSA, you will reference 2016 tax documents) to answer several FAFSA questions.
      • Tip: Print out the FAFSA worksheets on the web to assist you with filling out the electronic form.
      • The Warner Pacific school code is 003225.
    3.  If you have never attended Warner Pacific, go to studentloans.gov and complete Entrance Counseling for student loans.
      • Select “Complete Loan Counseling” and start Entrance Counseling.
      • if you have been notified you have a Federal Perkins Loan, please complete entrance/exit counseling.
    4. Go to studentloans.gov and complete your Master Promissory Note (MPN) for student loans.
      • Select “Complete Loan Agreement (Master Promissory Note)” and start the “MPN for Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loans” on the next page.
      • You will need your FSA ID and two references (with current contact info) to complete the MPN.
