A degree in Medical Laboratory Science prepares students for a career that has many opportunities for specialization within the allied health field. Warner Pacific University is excited to offer the Medical Laboratory Science major in partnership with the Oregon Institute of Technology (OIT). Students begin their studies at Warner Pacific with introductory science and liberal arts coursework. Upon successful completion of core courses, they will transfer to OIT for clinical course work and externships. This program is designed for first-time freshmen, but transfer students are accepted on a case-by-case basis.

Students collaborate with professors by conducting research in their field, or take advantage of opportunities to perform research at Portland area facilities, such as Oregon Health & Science University.
Students majoring in Medical Laboratory Science are able to transfer to OIT through the Early Admission Medical Lab Science Program (EAMLSP).
Your externship will place you in a real clinical lab for three months to practice what you have learned and prepare you for this exciting career.
