The MAT program is designed for individuals who have already completed an undergraduate degree and want to be able to teach in the PK-12 school system.
To be eligible, an applicant must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Upon application, transcripts will be reviewed to determine if all relevant content area coursework was completed in the undergraduate major(s). Any omissions in such content area coursework must be completed before admission. State-required exams and other indicators of potential success in graduate studies must also be completed prior to entry into the program.
In just ten months you can be ready to teach and earn masters level pay with the Warner Pacific daytime MAT program. Beginning in July and finishing the following May, this intensive program requires a significant time commitment each day to complete the necessary coursework.
When you have successfully finished all the program requirements and competencies, you will graduate with a Master of Arts in Teaching degree and an initial teaching license in Oregon and/or Washington.
The next series begins in July of 2013
