AN ETHIC OF SERVICE is woven into the entire fabric of the WP experience including classes, athletics, residence life and more. You'll find a number of co-curricular activities specifically devoted to helping you use your unique talents and gifts to make the world better for others, preparing you for a lifetime of meaningful servant-leadership.
For WPC's annual Common Day of Service, classes are cancelled so that Warner Pacific students, faculty, and staff can work side-by-side on beautification projects at community sites near the college. In the past, teams have cleared invasive plants in the Mt. Tabor Park, painted classrooms at a school for behaviorally-challenged children and helped landscape the grounds of a nearby shelter for women and children. Last year, Warner Pacific students alone provided over 7,200 total hours of community service, at an estimated economic impact of $132,135.
If you’re looking for service opportunities that extend further than Warner Pacific’s campus, you can participate in our Hot Chocolate Ministry, where we donate food and clothing to the inner-city homeless residents of Portland. If you are thinking of serving beyond borders, sign up for our annual Spring Missions Trip and help spread the word of God to other countries.
