First Year Experience
At Warner Pacific College, all freshman enroll in our “First Year Experience" (FYE) program, designed to create a peer support network for first year students navigating the transition to college. FYE is divided into 12-person classes, each of which is taught by a full-time faculty member in conjunction with two upper-class student mentors who help you transition successfully to the social and academic culture on campus.
The course primarily consists of group discussions and peer feedback, offering freshmen the opportunity to build a community and deepen relationships while mastering concepts such as:
- Time management
- Study strategies
- Setting and achieving goals
- Proper nutrition
- Coping with stress
