This winter, several Warner Pacific athletes received awards for their performances on the court and achievement in the classroom.
Women's Basketball
Kelsey Mattsen, Alma-Silva Ramirez, Katie Smith, Layne Tucker, and Lisa Terry were all named Cascade Conference All-Academic.
In addition Mattsen, Silva-Ramirez, Smith, and Tucker were named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes.
Cameryn Calhoun and Chelsey Christensen were voted 1st Team All-Cascade Conference for their outstanding play, while Kelsey Mattsen was named CCC Defensive Player of the year.
Men's Basketball
Nick Schultens and Nathan Graham were named both Cascade Conference All-Academic and Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes.
Stephen Harris and William Sharp received 1st Team All-CCC honors for their outstanding play, leading the team to a seventh straight berth to the NAIA National Championship Tournament.
* To earn recognition for CCC All-Academic, a student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 and sophomore standing. First year players, whether transfers or freshman are not eligible.
* For NAIA Scholar-Athlete status, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify.
