Warner Pacific Names New Athletic Director

PORTLAND, Ore.— A seasoned athletic administrator with diversified experience in NCAA Division I, II and III and the NAIA has been named director of athletics at Warner Pacific College, effective September 5, 2012. President Andrea Cook announced the appointment of Jamie Joss, currently director of sales and operations for The Bleachers Corporation, to the college’s top athletic post.

In this role, Joss will oversee Warner Pacific’s 11 varsity sports, athletic booster club, fundraising, and athletic facilities. "Jamie Joss comes to us with strong experience in athletic administration, including communication, operations, marketing and fundraising," President Cook said. "I believe that through his thoughtful and collegial style, he will provide excellent leadership for coaches, student-athletes and our college community. We welcome his enthusiasm and creative ideas for further development of Knights athletics."

A recent resident of New York State, Joss has been on staff Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Rochester Institute of Technology, Colgate University, Lake Superior State University and St. Andrews Presbyterian College. Most recently he has worked in the private sector at The Bleachers Corporation and Sidearm Sports.

Jamie earned a B.S. degree in Sport Management from Bowling Green State University and a M.S. Degree in Sport Administration from the United States Sports Academy. Jamie and his wife Jodi have three boys ages 5, 3, and 10 months.
