Golf Tourney a Success

Golf TourneyThe 13th Annual Warner Pacific Benefit Golf Tournament was a resounding success. More that 100 golfers teed off after lunch at Club Green Meadows on August 19th, and enjoyed great weather during 18 holes of play.

Proceeds from the event will help fund athletic scholarships for deserving students across all of Warner Pacific's 11 varsity teams.

"It was a great day of golf and fellowship," said WP's athletic director, Ryan Kaiser. "Close to 30 thousand dollars was raised for athletic scholarships, which is a huge blessing. I'd like to thank everyone who participated in the tournament. Their support of our students is crucial to our efforts of providing the best possible college experience for our athletes. I'd also like to thank Club Green Meadows for hosting our event and their hospitality to our golf teams."

The day was capped off by a wonderful dinner program, where raffle prizes were awarded and contest winners announced. Highlights of the program included testimonials from head women's basketball coach Matt Gregg, and women's basketball player Meaghan White.

Mark your calendars for next year's event! Monday, August 13th, 2012 at Club Green Meadows.
