Cedric Jennings shares his inspirational story with the Warner Pacific community.

Special guest speaker Cedric Jennings, the central character of the inspirational 1998 book A Hope in the Unseen, spoke at a number of events on Warner Pacific's Mt. Tabor campus October 12. Jennings' path through public school in Washington, D. C. to Brown University is one of triumph over seemingly insurmountable odds.

After graduating with a degree in English from Brown, Jennings later earned a master’s degree at Harvard and an MSW at University of Michigan. Today he is the Director of Youth Programs for the city of Washington D.C. His story serves as part of the inspiration for the vision of Warner Pacific College to be in the city, and for the city.
