Act Six Wins PNACAC Award

actsixlogoAt their annual conference held in Spokane, Washington on May 19, The Pacific Northwest Assosciation of College Admission Counselors awarded Act Six the Program of Excellence Award.

Recently, Portland Leadership Foundation has merged with partners in Washington State to grow the number Act Six partner schools to eight. The program continues to grow and is now recruiting, selecting, training, and sending 80 scholars to colleges around the Northwest, including Warner Pacific.

"It has been exciting to dream about the possibilities in front of our network," said Act Six Founder Tim Herron. "The announcement of the award on May 19th was a great moment to reflect on the great work that has been done, and the great work we are currently doing. We are grateful for our partner colleges and affiliates."

Warner Pacific has recently selected its second cadre of 10 Act Six Scholars that will join the program in 2011.

"The Act Six program is vital to our mission of being 'in the city, for the city,' "said Andea P. Cook, president of Warner Pacific College. "We are excited to partner with the Portland Leadership foundation to impact these students who will provide leadership on our campus and in our community."
