Alumnus Earns Tenure

randall hallWarner Pacific College alumnus Dr. Randall Hall '91 recently earned tenure at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois.

Dr. Hall, an associate professor of music, started teaching at Augustana in 2005. He earned a bachelor’s in music education and music studies from Warner Pacific College, Portland, Ore.; a master’s in saxophone performance from the New England Conservatory of Music, Boston; and a doctorate from the Eastman School of Music, Rochester, N.Y.

At Augustana, Dr. Hall teaches saxophone and improvisation, music theory and liberal studies. Along with teaching, Dr. Hall is an active performer and clinician around the world, traveling throughout North America, Europe and Asia. He has been called “the master of the saxophone” and “an incredible technician” by Saxophone Journal.

Dr. Hall was honored by Warner Pacific at the 2011 Alumni and Family Weekend with the Distinguished Alumni Award for Professional Achievement.
