Alum Installed as ASHRAE Director

ATLANTA, Ga. — Warner Pacific College Alum Kevin L. Marple, was installed as a director and regional chair of ASHRAE at its 2012 Annual Conference held June 23-27. Marple is the president of Benz Air Engineering Co., Inc., Portland, Ore.

ASHRAE is the acronym for American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers.

marpleAs director and regional chair, Marple serves on ASHRAE's Board of Directors and as chair of the Society's Region XI, which covers Alaska, Oregon, Washington and the Canadian provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, western Ontario and Saskatchewan. As chair, he oversees the activities of the chapters in this region and represents them in Society activities.

His past service includes assistant regional chair, Region XI; Region XI, regional vice chair, Membership Promotion; chair, Membership Promotion and TC 5.4. Industrial Process Air Cleaning. He held all offices in the Oregon Chapter.

Marple was awarded a Bachelor of Science in business administration (2011) from Warner Pacific College.

ASHRAE, founded in 1894, is a building technology society with more than 50,000 members worldwide. The Society and its members focus on building systems, energy efficiency, indoor air quality, refrigeration and sustainability within the industry. Through research, standards writing, publishing and continuing education, ASHRAE shapes tomorrow's built environment today.
