Faculty/Staff Service Opportunities

Warner Pacific Faculty & Stafff - there are several upcoming opportunities to serve during the spring semester, including:

The 2012 MLK Day of Service – Join 1,200 students, staff and faculty from 9 area colleges to serve at Roosevelt High School in north Portland. Warner Pacific has filled about 2/3 of its volunteer slots for the day, but the vast majority of those slots are filled by students. It is very valuable for staff and faculty to serve alongside them and show that service is not only for particular days, but involves life-long commitment. Hot Chocolate Ministries – If you are an approved driver, sign up for one day of Hot Chocolate Ministries. Students travel to the Portland Rescue Mission each Wednesday and Thursday evening through the end of February. Alternative Spring Break, San Francisco – For staff who have mission leave to fill, and are looking for a fun opportunity to serve, connect with students, and travel, this trip is highly recommended. Drive with a group of students to San Francisco Mission Outpost, a Church of God church in the heart of the city. Please Eli know if you are interested.

Thank you for helping foster a spirit of compassion and community of engagement on this campus.
