If an item is not in the WPC Library collection, it will be listed in the WPC Worldcat Catalog as Held by: Summit or Held by: WorldCat Libraries. You may request these items by clicking Request Summit Item or Request Item through Interlibrary Loan. (If you are unable to locate a specific item through our online catalog or databases, you may use our web forms to request books or articles.) The items will then be delivered to the WPC Library.
Delivery times vary for Summit and Interlibrary Loan requests (see below for details). When your materials arrive, you will be notified via your warnerpacific.edu e-mail address. You may pick them up at the Circulation Desk.
Summit is a web-based library catalog shared by more than 35 colleges and universities in Washington and Oregon. Through Summit, you have access to about thirty million books and other items. You can search Summit and request items through WPC Worldcat or through the Summit Catalog.
When you request an item through Summit, it will be delivered in about 4 days to the WPC Library for you to pick up. You can check the status of this request anytime via My Requests. You may keep the item for up to 6 weeks. Photocopies of periodical articles are yours to keep.
Please note that articles and e-books cannot be viewed or requested through Summit.
Yes, you can! Here's how:
You can return Summit items to Warner's library, or to any other Summit location! For example, if you borrow a book from Reed College, you may return it at Lewis & Clark.
WorldCat is a web-based library catalog shared by more than 10,000 libraries worldwide. Through WorldCat, you have access to over one billion books and other items. You can search WorldCat and request items through WPC Worldcat.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) services provide access to materials in WorldCat that are not owned by the WPC Library or other Summit libraries. You may borrow an item this way by looking it up in WPC WorldCat. Please allow 1-2 weeks for your materials to arrive.
Loan periods for books vary (2 weeks-1 month) and are dictated by the library which owns the material. Photocopies of periodical articles are yours to keep. If you need the materials longer, please request a renewal at least 3 days before the due date. Not all libraries will grant renewals.
Some rare materials are only available with a lending fee. In these situations, library staff will contact you before the material is shipped. If you are unwilling to pay, the request can be cancelled.
Absolutely! You may visit any of the libraries in the Orbis Cascade Alliance and check out materials by presenting your WPC ID card. You will be required to log into your Library Account to show that you are part of Warner Pacific College.
We also encourage you to sign up for a library card at the excellent Multnomah County Library system. It's free!
