James graduated from Warner Pacific College in 2009 with a B.S. in Human Development through the Adult Degree Program.  Before joining the admissions team, James worked tirelessly in serving his community while working with underpresented youth.  He has a passion for seeing students of all ages reach their full potential in life, especially through higher education.  He loves travelling and all sporting events, often combining the two as he completes his goal to visit every Major League Baseball park in America.  He has visited 19 of the 30.

James prioritizes his life by his Six F Principles: Faith, Family, Friends, Fun, Food and Football.  His wife Lajena is a high school teacher and his son Andre is a student-athlete at Cal-Poly in San Luis Obispo, California.
