Master of Education

The Master of Education (MED) degree is intended for licensed teachers seeking courses and experiences for professional growth and/or credits for continued renewal of their license. Faculty members strive to guide students from where they are currently toward where they want to be professionally. The course work is a mix of teaching pedagogy, research, reflection about the classroom practice, and current topics in education.

Admissions Requirements for Master of Education

  • A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or better
  • Completed Application Forms and $45 Application Fee
  • Completed and signed Payment Plan Worksheet (completed on registration night)
  • Official Transcripts from all higher education institutions attended (we order most transcripts for you: Transcript Request Forms)
  • Two letters of recommendation 
  • Proof of licensure (expired licenses are acceptable)
  • One year of teaching experience
