How the Program Works
Like all of our ADP offerings, the Bachelor of Health Care Administration is a cohort program in which a group of 14-22 students advance through each course together. We keep our classes small to ensure you get personal attention from your instructors, and to facilitate healthy discussion environments among classmates.
We understand that working adults need learning environments that accommodate full-time employment. Your cohort will meet once a week in the evening, and you’ll have a choice of locations throughout the Portland/Vancouver area. To ensure you can master the material in each course, you’ll pursue one topic at a time. Finally, you’ll have the support of dedicated ADP staff who can help with admissions, financial aid, and career services.
To apply for admission to the BHCA degree program, you need to have:
- At least two years of full-time work experience
- At least 48 credits of previous college coursework, with a minimum 2.0 GPA
Your previous college coursework can be in any area, and may have been earned at an accredited college or junior college, as well as through examinations such as CLEP or DANTES tests. An enrollment counselor can help you determine what kind of credit you have that is eligible for transfer evaluation.
Students who do not speak English as a first language may be required to take a TOEFL test or provide official scores from previous tests.
Finally, you need to complete our application form, provide transcripts from previous educational institutions, and pay the $25 fee.
